Joakim
Styrén
Programmer,
producer and mixing engineer.
Formerly part of the Jam-Lab (Gothenburg)
team, now running his own studio in Tjörn,
Sweden. Jocke as he's often called
has worked with a fair number of top selling artists,
like Bosson, D-Sound, A-Teens and Kabah. Styrén
has freelanced with the Hitsville crowd since 1998,
participating in all larger production setups.
Joakim Styrén's main
contributions include rock solid beats programming,
and he is regularly mixing most of the finished
Hitsville masters. He is the swiftest Pro-Tools
buff around, yet he swears by his old 486 PC running
Sequencer Plus. Coupled with Joakims
extensive outboard rig and methodic work, he creates
the steadiest framework for any good track
Mats Johansson
Guitar player,
electric & acoustic.
Mats has been around the block a
few times; a professional musician since the mid
80's. He travels around most of the western hemisphere
delivering sparkling overdubs wherever needed. Mats
also has a growing producers credit, often starting
his tracks at his home studio. The number of sessions
Mats has contributed on for Hitsville are countless.
Mats Johansson's long experience
and wide range of sounds and styles have negated
Hitsville's need for other session guitarists. The
fact that he is the most easy-going guy also makes
working with him a breeze!
Terje Støldahl
Bass player, electric
& acoustic.
Hmm
well, bass is simple right? Just poke
in the basic notes with a hint of rhythm
When boring bass-lines drags
a track down, we call Terje. When he leaves, the
enthusiasm seems to have returned to the studio
- it works every time. Having access to such a professional
has saved more songs at Hitsville than we dare to
admit. Terje is constantly on the road or on a session,
but he has been observed serving drinks in a bar
in Halden
Daniel Hartelius
Engineer & Pro-Tools
tech.
He often works with above-mentioned Joakim Styrén
as his aide & assistant, but readily controls
his own sessions. At Hitsville, Daniel fills the
spot in editing, recording and otherwise contributing
with his fresh views.
Being the youngest blood in
the crew, Daniel is expected to steal all the trade
secrets from the older chaps, then add some that
are yet unknown, and finally put us out of work
Always being cheerful, inventive and hard-working,
Daniel Hartelius' share of Hitsville sessions is
growing fast!
Backing vocals (male
& female), Lead singers, String quartets,
Organ grinders
Hitsville's contacts span from the
best professionals to exiting newbies. A long track
record has secured a wide range of connections both
above- and underground. Whatever you may need for
your session to fly, ask us
